LONDON, June 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
telent Technology Services Ltd has added the Voice Perfect brand and product range to its portfolio following an acquisition of the Hertfordshire-based voice processing and communication specialists. All personnel have transferred to telent and operations will be based at their Pirin Court premises in East London.
Voice Perfect's Digital Voice Announcers (DVAs) and Voice Transfer Units (VTUs) provide station announcements and customer interfaces across London Underground stations, mainline rail stations and in UK and international airports.
telent will continue to support Voice Perfect's product lines, primarily SCAS DVAs and Talk-2 VTUs. However, as mobile technology, such as tablets, plays a growing role in station management, telent will integrate these products into its MICA station management portfolio. Reg Cook, Director of Asset Management for telent, explains how the union with Voice Perfect strengthens their work in this area:
"The Voice Perfect name, synonymous with quality products with long lifespans, will be enhanced by our technical and maintenance capability. This acquisition will improve our overall customer offering and strengthen the company's product line in both the rail and air transportation marketplaces.
We are now able to provide Digital Voice communication across a range of platforms and by combining the Voice Perfect systems with our mobile station management suite we are able to provide increasingly flexible and mobile station management tools. Our ultimate aim is to enable station staff to manage their station from anywhere in the station."
With annual revenues of over £300 million, telent has decades of experience in supplying a broad range of network and communications services. Today, the privately-held company employs approximately 1,500 people and has an engineering field force that covers the entire UK. Customers include BT, Virgin Media, Sky, Vodafone, Merseyside Fire & Rescue, the Metropolitan Police, Highways Agency, Transport for London, Network Rail, Train Operators and London Ambulance Service.
