Nimble electric personal transporter ready to conquer the world
The OXBOARD (http://www.oxboard.eu), hailing from the Netherlands, is a compact, 100% electric transporter that is now available throughout Europe, thanks to its success in its home country and increasing demand from outside the Netherlands. The latest version of the OXBOARD, built to the highest Dutch quality standards, will be demonstrated in Berlin at IFA 2015 (Hall 25, Booth 110-25).
The OXBOARD made its first appearance outside the Netherlands this spring. Simply put, the OXBOARD consists of a board with two wheels and is equipped with four gyroscopes that correct the user's balance accurately and in real time. Users can go forward and backwards, make turns and swivel through 360 degrees. Although the OXBOARD is great fun, the objective is to provide a practical transport solution for a wide target group. With a speed of 15 kilometers per hour and a range of 20 kilometers, the uses are endless. "It's a new form of mobility," says entrepreneur Ernie Hiemstra, who optimized the design together with GBO Design from Helmond, refining existing technologies to achieve a high quality of transport. "The Dutch have embraced the OXBOARD with open arms and we now want to expand the craze to the rest of Europe."
Hiemstra talks about the success of the product, saying, "It's a simple and enjoyable mode of transport, which fits in well with a modern, efficient lifestyle. It's also a high-quality Dutch product that we build in our own production plant with our own quality control, paying attention to every little detail. Moreover, the OXBOARD comes with an extended warranty. This quality product is a durable, sturdy mode of transport, which you know will keep getting you from A to B."
From September, OXBOARD will be delivering throughout Europe through its own online shop at € 799 and is also setting up a European distribution network to ensure local availability. "When you try the OXBOARD for yourself, you'll buy one," says Hiemstra.
The international press can find out more about the latest version of the OXBOARD at IFA 2015, from 4 to 9 September, in Berlin. Visitors can try out the new OXBOARD themselves at the stand and the OXBOARD management will be available for a limited number of media interviews.
