Strategic Partnership Paves the Way for Enhanced Home Healthcare Provision
BASINGSTOKE, England, May 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- In line with the Government's stated objective of encouraging more personalised care closer to home, a partnership being announced today is set to enhance the provision of healthcare in the patients' own homes.
Healthcare at Home Ltd (http://www.hah.co.uk), Europe's leading provider of home healthcare, has signed an agreement that will enable the use of IntefleCS Home Clinic, a clinical decision support technology from Clinical Solutions (www.clinicalsolutions.com). The solution will be used by community-based Healthcare at Home staff, as well as the Healthcare at Home Care Bureau, enabling seamless service delivery and connectivity between Healthcare at Home and NHS IT platforms (inc. NHS SPINE services, Primary Care GP Clinical Systems, and other Acute and Secondary Care applications). The technology meets with NHS compliance and stringent information and clinical governance standards.
Home healthcare services are highly rated by patients and have been shown to improve treatment outcomes and also to reduce treatment costs. By working with patients, and their families, to keep them out of hospital, Healthcare at Home provides services that enable patients to lead more independent lives by providing them with high quality care when they need it and where they want it. Healthcare at Home provides a full service home healthcare approach, offering services such as chemotherapy at home, paediatric care and the provision of emotional and clinical support by fully trained nursing staff.
Mike Gordon, Chief Executive Officer, Healthcare at Home Ltd, adds: "Working with Clinical Solutions enables us to continue transforming healthcare with pharmaceutical and clinical services that put patients and their families first. This partnership paves the way for extended home healthcare services across the UK."
Xavier Flinois, Clinical Solutions Chief Executive Officer, explains: "Our strategy mirrors the needs and wants of healthcare providers; to put the patient at the centre of their care. Together with Healthcare at Home, we will strive to deliver the right level of care to the right person, at the right time, in their own home."
He continues: "From a business perspective this agreement represents an expansion of the application of our technology into the wider health economy - for home based services, wellness and long-term condition management; informing, advising, and empowering the patient."
