WINTERTHUR, Switzerland, May 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
Noser Engineering AG Celebrates its 30th Anniversary
Noser Engineering AG the Swiss based global information technology consultancy announced today that it is celebrating 30 years.
Over the past 30 years, Noser Engineering AG has grown into an established, reliable and leading provider of software services for an ever changing market. Entering new territory and often proving to be a pioneer in the industry for new software developments such as the Android[TM] operating system and research into new developments and trends such as The Internet of Things or Augmented Reality.
In 1984, Hans Noser founded a small IT startup called Noser AG, headquartered in Winterthur. During the 80s, the IT industry was still in its infancy and the company grew from a great demand for embedded applications. With the takeover of the company by Ruedi Noser in the early 90's, the Noser Group was formed, and Noser Engineering AG was incorporated as the flagship. The group, now consisting of several subsidiaries, has grown from a company with one location to a multinational group of companies with several locations beyond Swiss borders. With a core expertise in computer science and telecommunications, the Noser Group employs 450 people and has an annual turnover of CHF 80 million. Noser Engineering has over 150 engineers, and a turnover of CHF 28 million annually.
Value for customers, proximity and consistency are key success factors
When Geri Moll, CEO of Noser Engineering AG since 1991, talks about why the company after 30 years still enjoys a lead over it's competitors in different areas, it quickly emerges that customer value is the key to Noser Engineering's success. When employees feel valued they have more empathy for their customers. Geographic proximity to the customer is therefore no longer one of the most important factors. "Our internal culture and empathy for our customers make the difference," said Geri Moll. "Customer projects are implemented in a way that allows us to meet customer needs."
Milestone co-development of Android
On behalf of Google, Noser Engineering was instrumental in the development of the Android core libraries and the Compatibility Test Suite. As a founding member of the Open Handset Alliance, Noser Engineering can be described as an Android pioneer. After the official launch in 2008, within two years, Android conquered a considerable share of the world market for mobile applications and is now the world's leading technology platform for device development.
Know-how and important strategic partnerships as a basis for growth
As a long-time Microsoft® Gold Competency partner, Noser Engineering won the Microsoft® Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Partner Award in 2012. This partnership and maintaining technological diversity and innovation are important pillars for the future. Whether developing embedded and general systems or even a successful UI, maintaining technological diversity and innovation in these areas is still as important as leading-edge mobile and Big Data applications. The company remains at the forefront of the latest market developments and employees bring new and innovative tools and products directly to the customer.
Geri Moll plans to further accelerate the company's growth with these partnerships and recognized specialists.
