Allan Rubinfeld, creator of Soapets, a product designed to make bath time fun for kids, launches a presale campaign to raise $10,000 by January 14, 2014.
Allan Rubinfeld is excited to announce the launch of his campaign entitled, "Have No Regrets! Soap it Up with Soapets," on Indiegogo. This presale effort to raise $10,000+ by January 14, 2014, is the final push to make Soapets a reality. These lovable creatures are cleaning tools, disguised as toys: a combination that is designed to help parents get kids clean, while eradicating bath time struggles.
"Finally, kids are going to look forward to showering and it's going to alleviate a lot of stress for parents," said Allan Rubinfeld, who came up with the idea while taking a shower. "Soapets is my dream in the making."
Rubinfeld, an award-winning high school student, pictured life in the medical field and was ready to attend UCLA, when a life-changing automobile accident left him in a coma. "Throughout the next few years, I endured multiple surgeries. I was in my room a lot." It was there that he came up with the idea of Soapets. He spent the next two months sewing in his room and now, two years later, the product is ready.
The Soapets family consists of Dyno the Dinosaur, Mimi the Ladybug, Bobo the Panda, Cici the Turtle, Wis's the Penguin, Lela the Platypus and a special limited edition, Fefe the Dragon. These plush "toys" are hypoallergenic consisting of 30 percent polyester and 70 percent rayon. They are soft and gentle on the skin and also machine washable and dryable.
In an effort to promote Soapets, special perks have been created based on level of generosity. A $5 pledge offers a sheet of Soapet stickers, while a pledge of $1500 earns the contributor 140 Soapets, 20 sheets of stickers, 20 hats, 20 Soapet shirts and a slot on the VIP list.
