ZURICH, July 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --
«Sharing instead of ownership», this is the motto of peer-to-peer car sharers. Constantly connected by Smartphone and characterised by their marked environmental conscience, they have made innovative technology their own and it is thanks to this that car sharing between private individuals has become child's play. Today there are more than 30 providers of P2P car sharing formulae in Europe. Together, there are some 1.4 million registered users and the trend is growing. This was sufficient reason for Frost & Sullivan, a well-known consultancy firm, to grant an Award in the "P2P Carsharing Price/Performance Value" category to the top of the European class in this sector.
150 Top Executives, all experts in the branch and 24 candidates on whom all spotlights were trained to hear their views on the future of mobility in Europe. It is in fact an area in which Frost & Sullivan discerns Best Practice Awards every year to companies active on an international scale and capable of detecting innovative trends while making the most of promising and possibly revolutionary technology in various industrial sectors before they become standard or a global reference. Every year this prize is awarded in the categories of "Leadership, technological innovation, customer service and strategic product development".
9 out of 10 points go to Switzerland!
This year, sharoo was the winner of the "European P2P Carsharing Price/Performance Value Leadership Awards 2016".
In an international comparison, sharoo's carsharing formula convinced the "P2P Carsharing" platform experts and received 9 points out of a total of 10, a result that placed sharoo at the top of the class for this European rating.
Small box - great future
In the sector of carsharing between private individuals, the Frost & Sullivan experts found that the sharoo box provides a decisive advantage. In fact, personally handing over the keys was one of the main stumbling blocks with P2P carsharing. Which meant that sharoo's solution that allows cars to be opened and closed simply by using a Smartphone was the answer to a prayer and sharing vehicles has become… as easy as pie. Installation of the sharoo box is not limited to any specific make or model of vehicle, and can be installed in any vehicle. Furthermore, sharoo won further points for being user friendly, reliable, the quality of service and the security of its system.
Frost & Sullivan also took into account as key factors of sharoo's success the strategic partnerships it has concluded with well-known co-investors such as Migros, La Mobilière and Mobility. Their presence has played a crucial role in prospecting for new clients on one hand, and in the capacity to meet specific client needs on the other. Finally, the latest partnership with AMAG has enabled a further increase in the array of cars offered on the sharoo platform.
