The golden makeover will not only see the mall's central signage changed, but it will also extend to internal signage, its website and social media.
Fun sport themed activity will also take place throughout the month giving local sports groups the opportunity to fundraise and providing an adrenaline filled shopping experience for our customers.
Says David Pierotti, general manager of Goldburn: "Our homegrown athletes aren't going for Silver, they're going for Gold and we wanted to get behind them and show our support with a grand gesture."
"The city is absolutely buzzing about the games and our customers are looking forward to cheering on our athletes."
Athletes aren't the only ones that can win big during the games, Snap happy shoppers who tweet a picture of the rebranded entrance and tag @shopsilverburn using the #Goldburn will have the opportunity cash in and win some amazing prizes. Simply by showing their tweet at the Customer Service Desk, located outside Debenhams, they will be given a lucky gift card that contains anything from £5- £250 to spend at Silverburn.
The southside mall is currently undergoing a £20 million extensive leisure development, which will see nine new restaurants and a fourteen screen cinema open, creating around 350 new jobs. It has already been confirmed that the extension will see Glasgow's first COSMO and Chimichanga open alongside Pret A Manger, Burger King, TGI Fridays, Carluccio's, Zizzi and Pizza Express.
Silverburn is easily accessed via J2 off the M77 while the X8 is an express bus that is available from Buchanan Street Bus Station and Union Street in Glasgow.
