SIG Chooses Giulio Barbieri to Supply PV Carports at Geneva Headquarters

Swiss Electricty Provider SIG Working with Sunergic and Italian Company Giulio Barbieri

Holding company SIG, the provider for Swiss electricity, water and gas, has appointed Sunergic S.A. to manage the photovoltaic covering of the carpark at their Geneva headquarters. Italian company Giulio Barbieri S.p.A will provide the whole carport system.

Following a call to tender, the highest-quality standards have been achieved for the project: aluminium carports, CE-certified for covering around 120 car spaces and PV modules by SunPower, ensuring the best performance (total installed power 400 kW), elegance and the highest efficiency come from the unique style of Italian design married with the reliability of American technology.

Giulio Barbieri and SunPower, the brands selected and appointed for this important project, will be underlining the already existing synergy between the two companies. Several months ago, an agreement between the Italian carports manufacturing company and the American modules manufacturer, for launching into the market customized PV carports for the residential market, was officially released to the media.
