Sales enablement platform expands US presence with major investment in Chicago leadership and tech market and new North American headquarters
SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Showpad, the world's most powerful sales enablement platform, has hired Jason Holmes as President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Holmes will open and run Showpad's new Chicago office, which will serve as the company's North American headquarters. Originally founded in Belgium and with offices throughout Europe and the Pacific Northwest, Showpad is expanding its US presence to support rapid growth and demand.
Holmes brings more than 20 years of experience in leading go-to-market strategies at organizations such as Adobe and Oracle. Most recently, Holmes spent time leading operations at Marketo as the EVP and Chief Operating Officer, where he focused on growth initiatives and internal alignment. In his new role at Showpad, Holmes will be responsible for leading global sales, marketing, customer success and business development organizations.
"As we continue to expand, we are excited about the unique opportunities presented in the Chicago tech market and have focused on putting the right leadership in place to take Showpad to the next level," said Pieterjan Bouten, CEO and co-founder of Showpad. "Jason's extensive global enterprise experience with some of the world's largest software organizations makes him well-suited to drive this next era of Showpad growth."
Showpad's focus on revolutionizing engagement in sales and marketing has sparked massive growth since the company's founding in 2011. With more than 1,000 customers, the company aligns sales and marketing teams by providing a content management, distribution and analytics platform that creates more meaningful interactions between sales teams and customers.
"The opportunity to join a company with such strong momentum and expand Showpad's already-strong San Francisco and Portland operations into the Chicago area was irresistible," said Jason Holmes, President and COO of Showpad. "The combination of Showpad's fast-paced success, leadership in the sales industry and focus on the Chicago tech community create the perfect storm for continued growth, and I'm elated to lead the team in this next step of expansion."
In addition to Holmes, the company plans to make additional strategic executive hires and add at least 20 additional jobs across several roles in the new Chicago office.
"Fusing Sales and Marketing initiatives is critical in today's business environment. Showpad has created a way to bring these worlds together, empowering sales and marketing professionals to do what they do better," said Jeff Horing, Managing Director at Insight Venture Partners. "Our investment in Showpad's growth has been paralleled by extreme demand for the company's solutions in the North American market and we're excited to see how this next step in global expansion compounds that growth."
This announcement comes during a busy time for Showpad, which is gearing up for major product releases at its upcoming Showtime 17 event this week at the Ghelamco Arena in Ghent.
