Expansion includes release of products and opening of offices in Chile and Ecuador
MIAMI, Feb. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- SafetyPay, a secure electronic payment platform, announces global growth of 80.4% in 2015. During this period, the company has expanded its portfolio and opened offices in Chile and Ecuador, so that it now operates in 19 countries. Brazil has registered significant participation, with a 500% increase as a result of agreements and strategic partnerships.
The company has added new functionalities to existing products, and incorporated solutions into its portfolio such as, payment via internet banking; payment in cash; a phone sales solution; transacting payments for individuals and companies through the banking network, and batch solutions for recurring payments.
"It has been a significant period in all countries, especially in Latin America, since we've seen strong acceptance of our solutions. The support of our shareholders and customers, chiefly those with regional activities, has enabled us to carry our operations forward, increasing our scope of action, " notes SafetyPay CEO, Gustavo Ruiz.
Investment in mobile phone solutions
Recently, the company released SafetyPay E-mobile, a platform for serving any segment of activity, compatible with Android or iOS. Implemented in Peru by Peruvian Airlines, the system enables users to do searches, receive notifications on best flights, make purchases, pay for tickets and execute check-in via tablet or smartphone. Payment is done through internet banking or cash at banking agents.
"The progress we've achieved in 2015 will generate more positive results in 2016. A variety of negotiations are under way with large companies that will consolidate our presence in the markets where we operate, especially in Brazil. Since the opening of the Brazilian office in 2013, we have enhanced our platforms, adding more value for companies not only in e-commerce, but also in other segments," says Luiz Antonio Sacco, Regional Director for Latin America.
Other key factors have marked the last 12 months in Latin America: the beginning of a partnership with Aeroméxico, the largest airline in Mexico, and the arrival of AliExpress, one of the biggest e-commerce companies in the world, in Peru, Colombia and Mexico.
Growth in Brazil has made this country's activities take on greater importance for company operations. Major agreements, such as one with the CAIXA bank, have made possible the exclusive convenience of e-commerce purchasing and paying in cash at more than 13,000 lottery outlets in Brazil without a payment ticket.
"The technology has benefited consumers and absorbed a significant number of customers without bank accounts. At the same time, establishments have expanded their offerings of payment methods with greater speed in confirming transactions in real time," Sacco observes.
SafetyPay provides a global payment solution in real time, with more than 100 banks all over the world authorized to make payments via internet banking or Lottery Outlets and other banking correspondents. There are more than 300 million potential e-commerce users. SafetyPay is available in the U.S., Canada and a number of countries in Europe and Latin America. Among its clients are major market players, such as: AliExpress, Aeromexico, Azul Linhas Aereas, Volaris, Decolar.com/ Despegar.com, Compra Certa, Groupon and Privalia.
