Aircraft Interiors Expo 2013 (www.aircraftinteriorsexpo.com) is the leading international event for emerging designs in cabin interiors, in-flight entertainment, connectivity and passenger services. It is scheduled for April 9-11 at the Hamburg Messe in Hamburg, Germany. Rogers' High Performance Foams Division will feature its Silfx lightweight silicone comfort foam at Aircraft Interiors Expo 2013, Stand # 7A1.
Silfx comfort foam is an innovative top pad material designed for aircraft seating. Rogers developed this non-petroleum based silicone material to enable thin cushion design, longer cushion life, and lasting passenger comfort. Simply put, Silfx silicone comfort foam is the lowest density flame-retardant silicone in the world. Silfx comfort foam can be easily incorporated into many seat designs and is a finalist for this year's Crystal Cabin Award (www.crystal-cabin-award.com).
In addition, Rogers will be showing numerous other silicone products that already serve the aerospace market. Applications for these materials include sealing, gap-filling, carpet padding, and barriers for both fire and acoustics. All of Rogers' silicone product offerings are designed to meet applicable aviation, Airbus, and Boeing flame-resistance, smoke, and toxicity requirements.
