Rich People Are More Likely to Engage in the Threesome Lifestyle, 3somer's Study Finds

Threesomes have become the most common sexual fantasy. Recent research conducted by 3somer has concluded that richer individuals are more likely to engage in threesomes than people with lower incomes. These studies measured the usage of the rising threesome dating and lifestyle app "3somer" in relation to the GDP per capita of various major states in the U.S. and Brazil.

Initial studies conducted in the U.S. examined which 10 states had the highest concentration of app users. "When we did research about the top 10 states which have the most users in the U.S., we found that some of those top 10 states do not have high populaces," said 3somer co-founder, John M. Further research was conducted to discover that the higher the GDP per capita in the state, the higher the percentage of the population who was registered with the app. This creates a correlation between higher wealth and higher rates of threesome lifestyles. To verify the conclusion, the same research was conducted in Brazil and the same result achieved.

New York, with a 2015 GDP per capita of $72,965, was the state with the highest percentage of the population registered on 3somer. Throughout the state, one in every 500 people is a registered app user (.1907%). New Jersey and California follow with .1544% and .1510% of the population registered respectively. They are also the states with the next highest GDP per capita, with New Jersey at $64,070 and California at $61,924. The trend continues for Texas, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Georgia, Michigan and Florida each having a registered user percentage matching their ranking in National GDP.

An unrelated German study has made similar conclusions. This study found that an individual's value and attractiveness in dating or sexual encounters was increased when he or she demonstrated higher wages. Some studies also found that engaging in threesomes or multi-participant sexual encounters were the top sexual fantasy for a majority of people. Thus, those who had the greater wealth to attract higher numbers of potential partners were more likely to achieve their fantasy.

According to the company's co-founder, "Rich people have more sex, and threesomes are the top sex fantasy, mostly due to curiosity. All of these factors combined indicate that rich people are more likely to have threesomes."
