Results of First Ever Survey of African Gen Y to Be Announced at New York Forum Africa. May 23-25, Gabon

The first-ever survey of Africa's Generation Y will be announced at the third edition of the New York Forum AFRICA, the world's foremost African business forum, which will be held in Libreville, Gabon, May 23-25. Over 1,000 business and political leaders from around the world will participate in this year's New York Forum AFRICA.

The survey, done with Train My Generation, was developed as part of the first-ever African Citizens'Summit, which will be held on the first day of the Forum. The Summit will showcase the results of the survey, which focuses on opportunities for the generation that will shortly enter the workforce, and students from across Africa have been invited to participate, both live and online in real time. The survey is an initiative of Train My Generation, the vocational training fund created and set up by the New York Forum AFRICA in 2013.

The survey, in collaboration with Global Counsel and Tribal Brands, will be hosted on mPowering Action, the online and mobile platform powered by the UN Foundation and the UNDP that encourages young people to articulate their views on social and economic issues.

As well as being presented to heads of state and participants at The New York Forum AFRICA, the survey findings will be distributed by The New York Forum Institute to the top 10 companies and universities across Africa. The findings will also be presented to the first U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit in Washington, DC on August 5 and 6, 2014

The event is held under the patronage of H.E. Ali Bongo Ondimba, President of Gabonese Republic, founded by New York Forum Institute Chairman and Richard Attias. Now in its third year, the New York Forum AFRICA brings together heads of state and ministers, private sector leaders, NGOs and investors to debate the economic challenges and opportunities in Africa.
