Turkey, India, Russia, Qatar, Egypt, Iraq among headline countries taking part; UAE developers turning out in force
A record number of international pavilions from the world's emerging real estate markets will be out in force at Cityscape Global this year, as they showcase some of the most promising real estate investment opportunities available to Gulf investors.

Pavilions from Turkey, Russia, Qatar, Egypt, the Americas, India and Iraq will be centre of attention at the three-day real estate development event, which takes place from 2-4 October at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The increased number of pavilions reinforces the Middle East's most influential property exhibition as a truly global event, which was repositioned three years ago to acknowledge its place as a significant international platform for the real estate industry.
The Turkish pavilion in particular will be a major attraction, with key developers launching several large scale real estate projects in the Southeast European country, which was recently announced as the Country of Honour at Cityscape Global.
Among them is ENS Project Development, which will launch two exclusive hotel and retail property developments in Istanbul including Cendere Loft - a boutique residential project consisting of fully serviced suites, located in the city's prestigious Cendere Valley.
ENS Project Development will also launch a geriatric care centre on the Agean coastal city of Bodrum. The 23-acre facility will host more than 500 elderly people with around the clock nursery care services, ensuring that residents will enjoy year-round resort style comfort, while investors benefit from strong returns.
At the Russian Pavilion, the Northern Caucasus Resorts Company will be turning heads as it lays out its ambitious plans by 2020 to build seven world-class ski resorts in the Caucasus mountain range in Southwest Russia, as well as a multi-billion dollar complex of beach resorts along the Northwest coast of the Caspian Sea.
The Indian international pavilion too will have a strong presence at Cityscape Global 2012, with Dewa Projects, Tata Housing, and Moshin Realty India among the headline exhibitors looking to lure investors to the vastly improved South East Asian real estate market. According to the Lloyds TSB International Global Housing Market Review, urban Indian property prices have doubled in the last five years, leading the list of top-performing housing markets globally.
Meanwhile, Barwa Real Estate and the United Development Company (UDC), the developer behind Pearl Qatar will be at the forefront of the Qatar pavilion, while La Mirada is the headline act of the Egyptian pavilion, leaving the Iraq Ministry of Construction and Housing as the main flag bearer at the Iraqi pavilion.
Now in its 11th edition, Cityscape Global is the annual meeting point for key real estate investors, developers, investment promotion authorities, architects, designers and real estate professionals to drive growth in real estate investment and development across emerging markets globally.
This year, international participation will exceed more that 50 per cent of exhibition space - the largest percentage of international exhibitors in the history of the event.
While international pavilions and exhibitor involvement at Cityscape Global has reached record numbers in 2012, participation from UAE developers has also increased significantly in recent years, with major players eager to share the spotlight on what has been a very active year so far in the local real estate market.
Emaar Properties, Falconcity of Wonders, Dubai Properties Group, Nakheel, Meraas Development, DAMAC, Deyaar and Dubai World Central will have a strong presence this year with the most recent developments on current projects, and will be joined by Abu Dhabi based developers Bloom Properties and the Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC).
Several projects are expected to be launched by UAE developers this year at Cityscape Global, led by Falconcity of Wonders, which have already announced they will display for first time their landmark multi-purpose Community Centre project located off Emirates Road, which will commence construction once building permits from Dubai Municipality have been obtained.
