Led by General Manager Iftikhar Hamdani, the property will organise different activities during the festival including a demonstration of its innovative energy and resource saving practices, and presentation of its current and planned green efforts. It will also offer planting activities to guests, arrange visits for guests to other UAE Green Festival events, and present tips and advice on how to help in the conservation of the environment.
The UAE Green Festival is a country-wide celebration specifically designed to educate people across the seven emirates about an achievable, enjoyable and sustainable way of life via green practices. The aim of the festival is to unveil UAE's sustainable identity as a leading green destination that provides its residents and visitors a better quality of life. It will also provide government bodies and private entities with a platform for knowledge exchange and discussion of issues related to sustainable development.
As part of the festival, Ramada Hotel and Suites Ajman will be hosting the GCC Ecotourism Conference on March 30 to 31st, at the hotel's Majestic Ballroom. The conference, to be attended by GCC government bodies, corporate stakeholders, and international associations and delegate, will discuss the challenges related to Ecotourism in the GCC and target all components of hospitality and tourism sector. During the conference, Hamdani will be given the opportunity to talk about the importance of waste management in the hospitality sector and share the various green initiatives of the hotel.
