QuorumSoft Launches Breakthrough XenServer Disaster Recovery and Deduplication Solution

Alike DR is a fast, flexible and affordable disaster recovery and deduplication solution for backing up mission-critical data to a secondary system. Priced at less than $1,200 per XenServer host, Alike DR delivers more capabilities than competing solutions that cost twice as much or more.

The Alike DR Offsite Recovery module lets users choose the data to vault offsite, making it possible to mix onsite backups with offsite backups. Alike DR Offsite Recovery can back up to a cloud-based server.

In addition to the offsite recovery module, Alike DR includes Enhanced Replicate, a feature that snapshots and transfers virtual disks from one XenServer host to another directly over a compressed data stream. Enhanced Replicate can replicate a running virtual machine to a secondary system without disrupting operation of the VM.
