- Qedis Consulting Teams up for a Long-Distance Cycle to raise £10,000 for KEEN London
For the second year in a row, consultants from Qedis have gone that extra mile and taken on some quirky and somewhat barmy athletic challenges to raise funds for their charity of the year. Last summer, it was a 54 mile double-marathon from Maidenhead to London. This time, a group of fifteen Qedites cycled 300 kilometres from the Paris office of their partner, Oresys, all the way to the Qedis office in London. In addition to this group of cyclists, other Qedis employees were sponsored to cycle from Brighton to London (on and off road routes), from Ealing to London, and to participate in a 15 mile Thames River Walk. All of these efforts were made to help the children of KEEN London.
KEEN is the only charity in London which offers one-to-one sports and recreational opportunities for children and young adults with special needs, and their siblings. Taking part in sports and recreational activities promotes physical development and co-ordination, helps develop social skills and encourages teamwork for these children. Since KEEN doesn't charge for sessions, they rely entirely on the generosity of donors and sponsors. That's why Qedis is so happy to raise and donate funds for this outstanding organisation through ChallengeQ!
ChallengeQ culminated in London's Regents Park on Saturday, with a finish line celebration!
There was a sports day and a picnic for the KEEN children, for whom Qedis have raised over £10,000. Cameron Fraser, KEEN London co-ordinator said, "We are delighted to have Qedis as a supporter. Everyone there has been extremely generous with both their time and their fundraising efforts and every penny they raise will make a difference to the families we support."
