LONDON, June 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
Playtech, the international designer, developer and licensor of software and services for the online, mobile, TV and land-based gaming industry, is proud to announce an agreement with Trinity Mirror to migrate to Playtech's Virtue Fusion Bingo platform.
This announcement follows a very successful start for Playtech's Virtue Fusion subsidiary in 2014. On the back of re-signing its long-term partnership with the Rank Group, launching a market-leading Tablet Bingo application and scooping 'Best Online Bingo Software' at the recent WhichBingo Awards, this marquee signing of Trinity Mirror is a welcome addition to its already stellar line up of tier 1 partners.
Playtech has a unique offering, built on a platform with a proven track record. With cross-product and cross-platform capabilities it allows players to move across products and platforms using a single login, ensuring the 'on the go', 'on the sofa', 'at your desk' experiences are the same.
Trinity Mirror is one of the largest multimedia publishers in the UK with a portfolio that spans the country. Its iconic publications, websites and digital services bring news, entertainment and new opportunities to local, regional and national audiences every day.
Mark O'Donnell, Trinity Mirror's Head of Group Partnerships, said: "We see a huge opportunity to grow our online gaming revenues, and to leverage our audiences, brands and content, particularly in mobile which is seeing significant growth. Virtue Fusion has the best-in-market products and we are delighted to be working with them."
The launch will focus initially on the Daily Mirror and Daily Record brands, with their existing software being replaced with Virtue Fusion's market-leading Bingo network product supported by Playtech's full Casino suite.
Daniel Phillips, Virtue Fusion COO, commented, "Playtech are proud to be associated with a market-leading media brand like Trinity Mirror, and together with our market-leading products we look forward to providing their audience with an unparalleled gaming experience across our 24/7 all platform offering."
Playtech develops unified software platforms and content for the online and land-based gaming industry, together with providing a range of ancillary services such as marketing, CRM services and hosting.
The Group's capabilities enable the delivery of an integrated software or turnkey solution, with players accessing online, broadcast, mobile and server-based gaming terminals through a single account.
New licensees include existing online operators upgrading or diversifying their offering, land-based casino groups, government-sponsored entities such as lotteries, and new entrants making their online gaming debut, particularly in newly-regulated markets.
Founded in 1999, Playtech is listed on the London Stock Exchange and has over 3,400 employees located in twelve countries. Its leading gaming applications include casino, bingo, poker, sports betting, live, mobile and social gaming and casual and fixed odds games.
