PARIS, September 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
Ketchum has named Philippe Béteille as the new president of its France office. Béteille joins Ketchum from Lenovo, where he served as EMEA corporate communications director since 2011, coordinating public relations in more than 100 countries.
Prior to working at Lenovo, Béteille held several senior management positions in public relations and corporate communications agencies, including serving as managing director at Text 100 Paris and as a partner at I&E Consultants, where he worked with companies such as IBM, France Telecom, Intel, Avaya and Boeing. Béteille brings more than 15 years of experience and is recognized for his strategic counselling role in media relations, international program coordination, issues management and product launches.
Explaining the motivation behind Béteille's hire, David Gallagher, Ketchum senior partner and European CEO, said: "We've been looking for an individual with the leadership skills and sophistication to realize the potential of our French operation. I'm delighted that Philippe is joining Ketchum, as he has a firm handle on what clients in France are looking for, as well as the business skills to support our expansion internationally. We have some great clients in France, and Philippe's experience and energy will be a real asset for our business."
Commenting on his new role, Béteille said: "I've known Ketchum for many years, and I am proud to be joining the firm as I start a new adventure. I was persuaded to join partly because of Ketchum's client relationships, and also because their business is so strong. But more than that, it was because I'll be joining an especially talented team. For me, that is the main pillar on which business success is created."
Ketchum's Paris office includes a corporate practice with specific expertise in crisis communications focusing on product recalls, reorganizations, and online issues, and a strong brand practice with specific expertise in food and beverage, plus a growing technology practice.
