Personal Touch Helps BRB Secure Major Contract
STOKE-ON-TRENT, England, February 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
A Staffordshire independent financial adviser has fought off competition from several rivals in the South East to win a major contract with a Kent firm of building services engineers.
Stoke-on-Trent-based BRB Wealth Management beat four competitors - two of which are based in the City of London, and a third which was already working with the client - to win the deal, which is worth a five-figure sum.
The agreement will see BRB providing a range of services linked with employee benefits, including pensions, group protection arrangements, and life cover.
One of the BRB's four partners, Dave Evans, said: "This is a big contract which will see us offering a comprehensive service, over several years, to a firm with over 200 employees.
"What gave us the edge over the rival bids - all of whom were located nearer the client - was our more personalised service.
"We focussed on an objective-led, rather than product-led approach - we wanted to find out what their objectives were and then we could put measures in place to help them get there."
BRB Wealth Management was established in 1980 and moved to their current headquarters, near the Festival Park retail park in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, in 2001. They currently employ 14 people.
The firm specialises in a range of financial planning services including corporate and private pensions, retirement and estate planning, annuities and life cover, and personal investments.
