The Friends of Zion Museum honored the pastora with a special token at the end of their journey, the Friends of Zion Friendship award.
Pastora Lucy Cosme, for whom it is her second visit to the museum, said "Hine-nee". The pastora was greatly moved by the stories of the long lasting friendship of many non-Jews of all religions assisting the Jewish people in the last 200 years, including the reformation of the state of Israel.
Cosme was awed and humbled by the experience of re-living the journey of the Jewish people, with the help and support of their non-Jewish friends, that have brought them to their Jewish home in the state of Israel. "I highly recommend FOZ for anyone traveling to Jerusalem. There you experience more than the history of the friendship - but realize that supporting Israel is a duty."
The pastora and her group toured the museum for an hour and a half, watching exhibits delivered via some of the most impressive museum technology in the world, including three-dimensional projection mapping on unique sculptures and complex roto scope animations that bring live-action video footage into a painted media. They learned about the contributions of Friends of Zion such as US President Harry Truman, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, US president's forefather, Prof. George W. Bush, Orde Wingate, and Righteous Among the Nations such as Oskar Schindler, Raoul Wallenberg and the Ten Boom family, who risked their lives to save Jews persecuted throughout the world.
The Friends of Zion Museum opened in Jerusalem last September and has set itself a goal of serving as a bridge, connecting people from around the world and motivating more communities to come out in support of Israel. The Museum international Chairman is Israel 9th President, Shimon Peres.
The museum includes state-of-the-art exhibitions and displays, among them 3D displays and a unique audiovisual innovation developed exclusively for the museum.
The Friends of Zion museum emphasizes the saving of Jews during the Holocaust and the contribution made by the Righteous Among the Nations. It highlights the connection to Zionism and praises the work of those who have come to the aid of the Jewish people in recent times - through the British Mandate, the Holocaust and up until the establishment of the State of Israel.
