NEW YORK, April 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- In its 12th annual Compitches Report evaluating the competitive pitch success rate of 700 media agencies across 46 countries in the past year, the Research Company Evaluating the Media Agency Industry (RECMA) has named Omnicom Media Group agency OMD Worldwide the number one ranked global media network.
The 2012 Compitches report encompasses a variety of competitive indices including client budgets, contenders, scope of work, number of markets in the pitch and other metrics.

OMD was top ranked in four of what RECMA termed six key agency rankings including the overall ranking that covers 46 countries. OMD was also tops in an assessment that covered all countries outside the U.S., as well as the top 12 countries, and a separate evaluation that covered 11 countries in Asia.
Earlier this year, OMD earned its third consecutive number one ranking from RECMA's Network Diagnostic Report which measures effectiveness and business performance. Additionally, in its July 2012 Global Billings report, RECMA ranked OMD the largest global media agency by billings, with 10.7 percent of market share.
