BRASILIA, Brazil, July 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
From the 20th to the 22nd of August 2012, Latin America's leading executives from a range of oil and gas verticals will convene at the Royal Tulip Brasilia Alvorada hotel across two days, for what promises to be the best attended oil and gas event of the year - GDS International's fourth Next Generation Oil and Gas Latin America (NGO&G LA) summit.
In attendance will be a selection of Latin America's most prominent thought leaders, all contributing to the direction of the summit through a series of peer-led panel discussions and vibrant workshops. Included in the upcoming event's senior delegation are: Luis Rojas, Corporate VP Corporate Production for Pacific Rubiales; Victor Saavedra, Executive Advisor, Exploration & Production for PDVSA; Carlos Portela, VP Operations for Pluspetrol; and Milton Costas Filho, GM for Petrobras. In addition, there will be a dynamic mix of sponsors on site, including Tetra Technologies, Estrella International Energy Services, Aveva, Archer and MODEC.
David Reif, VP Enterprise Solutions for Tyco, attended last year's summit and had this to say: "We've been able to talk to a lot of high-level people, and we've had good, rich business discussions." Andrew Steedman, VP Operations for NXT Energy Solutions was another delegate in attendance at the previous NGO&G LA summit. He said: "The Next Generation Oil and Gas summit was an excellent opportunity to meet key decision-makers in the sector."
Executives will be given the opportunity to engage in highly-interactive workshops and focussed panel discussions offering moderated, peer-led dialogues on major issues in the oil and gas sector, whilst one-to-one meetings give delegates the chance to meet with business analysts and service providers to discuss strategy and technology demands in a rapidly evolving business climate.
Daniel Richards, Summit Director for GDS International's NGO&G LA summit, says: "This is going to be one of the most important gatherings of oil and gas operators and service providers this year in Latin and South America. Amongst others, this year's summit boasts an exceptional program, with unconventional drilling solutions, next generation exploration technologies, cost effective data management technologies, and security management all scheduled for discussion. I look forward to hearing myriad industry perspectives from the different regions being represented in Brasilia. It's going to be a fantastic summit."
