Nomination Committee appointed for the Annual General Meeting 2027

STOCKHOLM, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Annual General Meeting of Essity adopted in 2020 instructions for the appointment of the Nomination Committee, which apply until the General Meeting resolves otherwise. According to these instructions, the company shall have a Nomination Committee consisting of members appointed by each of the four largest shareholders in terms of voting rights on the last banking day in August, as well as the Chairman of the Board of Directors, who shall convene the Committee.

The Nomination Committee has now been appointed and consists of the following members:

• Helena Stjernholm, AB Industrivärden, Chairman of the Nomination Committee
• Anders Hansson, AMF och AMF Fonder
• Niko Pakalen, Cevian Capital Partners Ltd
• Anders Jonsson, Livförsäkringsbolaget Skandia
• Jan Gurander, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Essity

Ahead of the Annual General Meeting 2027, the Nomination Committee shall prepare proposals regarding the Chairman of the Meeting, the number of Board members, remuneration to each of the Board members, election of Board members and Chairman of the Board of Directors, remuneration to the auditor and election of auditor, and, to the extent deemed necessary, proposals for amendments to the instructions for the Nomination Committee.

The Annual General Meeting will be held on April 7, 2027, in Stockholm.

Shareholders who wish to submit proposals to the Nomination Committee ahead of the Annual General Meeting 2027 may do so to the secretary of the Nomination Committee, General Counsel Mikael Schmidt, by email: mikael.schmidt@essity.com. In order for submitted proposals to be handled in a constructive manner, they should be received by the Nomination Committee no later than December 31, 2026.
