Noibai International Airport embraces Infortrend EonStor GS storage family for VM backup

Noibai International Airport in Hanoi is the largest airport in Vietnam in terms of total capacity and the main hub of the country's flagship carrier Vietnam Airlines. With growing air traffic and number of passengers, the airport authority desperately needs to upgrade the current IT infrastructure to provide a more reliable airport information system. Therefore, a good backup system is essential.
The Airport has replaced its previous system with EonStor GS 3012 storage along with Veeam backup software for the task. The system backs up VMs at the image-level using a hypervisor's snapshots to retrieve VM data as well as providing automated recovery. The NAS backup deployment took only one man to setup and is easy to deploy. The result is a highly reliable and efficient backup system that complements the airport information system.
