Improving Data Acquisition and Validation Capabilities will be a Priority

In 2016, 80% of the OEMs are expected to finalize their automation technology roadmaps. Similarly, the software and validation capabilities of today are too cost prohibitive to sustain a complex autonomous driving scenario. Besides this, the largest challenge to autonomous driving is posed by the regulatory frameworks that govern these products. They are crucial to the success of deployment of autonomous driving in the market in future. With the US and the EU increasing the amount of up to date autonomous test beds this issue is heading in the direction of facilitating the adaption of autonomous vehicles.
