The publication notes that high-profile trade events across various sectors have enjoyed sizeable increases in visitor numbers in recent years and highlights London's eCommerce Expo which saw a 26 per cent upturn in attendees between 2010 and 2012 .

With the average visitor spending 8.3 hours looking at displays  it seems attendees are making the most of the trade show experience. Some 92 per cent of visitors said they were on the lookout for new products  and 72 per cent claimed shows affect their buying decisions .

Businesses are urged to ensure they choose the right exhibition to reach their target audience then promote their attendance to prospective customers.
