As a result of this partnership, the solutions Supply Chain Insights and Supply Chain Benchmark aim to ensure constant product availability at store level and ensure end consumer satisfaction, while manufacturers and retailers are working with reduced inventories.
NeoGrid Supply Chain Insights powered by Nielsen offers manufacturers, distributors and retailers the opportunity to truly collaborate by gaining visibility of their products at point of sale (POS). This is enabled through classic indicators, such as percentage of out-of-stocks, phantom inventories, inventory level and turn, as well as the innovative On Shelf Availability (OSA) indicator, which presents the percentage of product availability at POS. With it, manufacturers, distributors and retailers not only monitor, but also identify the main causes of product unavailability, through robust algorithms.
With Supply Chain Benchmark powered by Nielsen, for the first time, manufacturers and retailers will be able to compare their supply chain indicators to understand how their individual performance compares to their industry's market averages, in order identify their positioning and set up action plans for improvements, as needed.
