Motorsport.com Acquires Rights to World Endurance Championship Video Series Entitled "Inside the WEC"
MIAMI, May 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Motorsport.com continues to add to one of the world's largest motorsports online media portfolios as the company today announced it has signed rights to produce and distribute an online video program entitled "Inside the WEC."
Gérard Neveu, CEO of the World Endurance Championship, said: "The WEC is attracting a lot of media attention and we are pleased that Motorsport.com has decided to produce and broadcast this video series entitled, 'Inside the WEC'. The global reach of Motorsport.com, and the fact that the video will be available in several languages apart from English, will help broaden the appeal of the WEC around the world. The agreement includes territorial rights for non-live distribution within North America and represents the second online video program for Motorsport.com, which also includes the popular "Inside Grand Prix" series. By 2016, Motorsport.com is positioned to have the largest motorsports video library in the world.
The next episode of "Inside the WEC" is scheduled to be online May 6, 2015 highlighting the WEC 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps and remains available on demand at Motorsport.tv.

Now in its fourth season, the WEC will visit eight different countries in Europe, Asia, North America and the Middle East and include the world's premier motorsport event, the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June. The championship started in the UK, with the winners of the 6 Hours of Silverstone receiving the Royal Automobile Club Tourist Trophy which was first awarded 110 years ago in 1905.
