Monaco's Finance and Economy Minister Joins Frost & Sullivan's Celebration of Business Innovators at GIL 2014: Monaco

LONDON, Nov. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Close to 200 business leaders gathered on the glamorous shores of Monaco for Frost & Sullivan's GIL 2014: Monaco. The Conference explored the very latest in business thinking and the new business models that will drive growth.

Mr Jean Castellini Minister of Finance & Economy of the Principality of Monaco was the guest of honour. In his keynote, the Minister explained why companies go to Monaco to innovate and invest, and why a stable and secure financial environment – such as the one provided by Monaco - is key to support businesses' success. Mr Castellini presented Monaco's current economic situation, which is very positive, and explained how the Principality is totally committed about continued, accelerated economic growth, with special attention given to innovation funding and environmental protection.
Frost & Sullivan's Senior Partner and Global Head of Growth Consulting, Jan E Kristiansen introduced the Event and a keynote by Senior Partner Dorman Followwill captured the undivided attention of the senior business executive audience, with his presentation 'Disrupt, Collapse, Transform'. The discussion focused on new business models and Mr Followwill urged "companies to pay as much attention to business model innovation as they do to product and service innovation."
Eminent industry leaders, namely Mr Martin Peronnet, CEO of Monaco Telecom; Mr Erik Grab, Vice-President of Strategic Anticipation, Innovation & Sustainable Development at Michelin Group, Mr Olivier Courtade, CEO of M2M Solutions, and Mr Rodolphe de Beaufort, Smart Grid Marketing Manager at Alstom Grid also shared their visionary perspectives.
Other highlights of the Congress included Frost & Sullivan's Mega Trends, a session on emerging and disruptive technologies, and several high energy and high impact interactive Workshops. In the evening, the 2014 Frost & Sullivan Growth Excellence Awards Banquet celebrated superlative achievements amongst 22 companies who deliver excellence in best practices across a broad spectrum of industries.
Frost & Sullivan awarded, among others, cross-industry giants such as Siemens and Orange; materials majors, DSM Biomedical and Mibelle Group Biochemistry; energy solution innovators, Asetek and Redavia Solar, and technology trailblazers, Artificial Solutions, Cyan Technology and Humavox.
