Milestone Systems has announced a major release: the Milestone Integration Platform Software Development Kit version 1.0 (MIP SDK 1.0). It was presented at the Milestone Integration Platform Symposium held March 2-4 in San Antonio, Texas.

The Milestone Integration Platform SDK 1.0 provides Milestone partners with a world of innovative possibilities: the comprehensive development framework makes it easy to integrate security and business solutions (including multiple video analytics applications) with the open platform Milestone XProtect(R) video management software (VMS) products.

The Milestone Integration Platform SDK 1.0 is flexible, supporting a multitude of integration methods. The unique plug-in architecture enables seamless integration of third-party applications with the Milestone management interface and XProtect Smart Client user interface.

      operate with new releases of XProtect as they become available.
    - Support for many different integration methods includes various levels
      of abstractions and multiple integration layers.
    - There are many options for dynamic video overlaying, server-side MIP
      integrations, and unique intra-MIP plug-in communications.
    - Extensive documentation is delivered with application and code samples,
      Microsoft(R) Visual Studio(R) project templates, and a toolbox with 
      proven Milestone libraries and code components.
