Media Cybernetics introduces GPU Deconvolution

Deconvolution has long been a powerful image processing tool to increase contrast and resolution in captured images, by removing distortions generated by the optics in the imaging platform. Generating crisp and sharper images for analysis seems like a benefit for every laboratory, but there has always been a trade off with the time involved to generate those results.

That is until the advent of Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) based deconvolution, which utilizes the thousands of processors available on the graphics card to drive an increase in processing performance and decrease the time involved by an average of six (6) to ten (10) times, when compared with the standard deconvolution process. This is especially noticeable with larger data sets that can take hours with conventional deconvolution, but can be done in minutes with GPU deconvolution.

AutoQuant X3, the leading software for deconvolution, is now available to utilize the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) to deliver an increase in performance and drastically lower your deconvolution times when compared to the standard AutoQuant platform.
