WATERTOWN, Massachusetts & YANBU, Saudi Arabia, April 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- To improve electrical grid reliability, Marafiq Power and Water Utility Company has contracted Doble Engineering Company, a subsidiary of ESCO Technologies Inc. (NYSE: ESE), to provide consulting and training services to support reliability best practices within its transmission and distribution division. Doble will maintain a strong presence in the region, working hand-in-hand with the Marafiq team on implementation, supported by a team of Doble apparatus specialists.

Originally established by the Royal Commission in the 1970s to develop the industrial cities of Jubail and Yanbu in Saudi Arabia, Marafiq is the first private integrated power and water utility company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Woodhouse Partnership was instrumental in bringing about the PAS 55 standard, the British Standards Institution's (BSI) publicly available specification for the optimized management of physical assets. PAS 55 was the basis for development of the ISO 55000 standard.
