PRICING PROJECT - For price management, Makro is deploying Profimetrics, a product from Itim, in order to implement policies and pricing rules set by the company in a systematic manner, optimizing the current pricing process. To get maximum productivity in this process and ensure greater profitability to the business, the project also covers the implementation of the modules Price Capture, Promotions and Supplier Billing.
In 2010 Makro decided to seek in the market partners that could meet these business definitions, to cover not only Brazil requirements but also a solution to be applied in other stores in South America: Argentina, Colombia, Venezuela and Peru. To make this decision, Makro evaluated four major partners and Itim was chosen because it had previous experience on the subject "pricing" in the retail market, has already served the Brazilian market and especially for showing flexibility in the deployment process.
We expect to be working with the complete solution in 2012.
Present in 24 states in Brazil and Federal District (DF), with a total of 76 stores, Makro Wholesale offers over 12,000 items and establishes himself as the best option to supply business customers across the country.
Makro operates in a self-service distribution system, with large, strategically located stores, where business customers can meet all their business needs in one stop. The stores have a Telesales system, whereby customers can make price quotations and finalize the purchase even before getting out of their stores. In addition, most stores already have delivery service for food processor customers. Additionally, Makro does corporate contracts to supply companies that have operations throughout the country.
Its national presence and solid network of partners, consisting of approximately 2,000 suppliers, accredits Makro to offer a complete assortment, always at low prices. To support this operation, Makro Brazil has more than 10,000 employees distributed between stores and Head Office.
