M∙A∙C Cosmetics - the Official Beauty Partner for the 10th Annual Irish Film & Television Awards
LONDON, February 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
The Irish Film & Television Awards is the highlight of Ireland's film & television entertainment calendar and a night when the industry gathers to celebrate excellence in creative production of film, television and animation. As the Official Beauty Partner, M∙A∙C Cosmetics will be ensuring that guests arrive looking über glam for this year's red carpet! For the 7th consecutive year M∙A∙C is also the sponsor of the 'Makeup and Hair' category.
Over the past year M∙A∙C Cosmetics has supported over 10 television and film productions that are up for nomination including: 'Seven Psychopaths', 'Games of Thrones', 'Love Hate', 'Moone Boy' and 'Titanic Blood & Steel'.
For this glittering occasion, a team of makeup artists from the M∙A∙C Pro Team will be on hand in the M∙A∙C Beauty Suite to provide makeup services to VIP's in town for the Awards, as well as backstage during the ceremony to re-touch guest presenters and nominees. M∙A∙C Senior Artist, Lesley Keane will be visiting talent and nominees for private VIP appointments throughout the day.
Lesley's Top Tips For The Red Carpet
- Plan your hair and makeup before the night to avoid a last minute panic.
- Make sure your hair and makeup complement your outfit, take inspiration from Hollywood icons past and present; keep it simple. The red carpet is not the place to take fashion, hair or makeup risks.
- Use a primer, but don't overload your skin with product, try a light moisturising lotion such as M∙A∙C Studio Moisture Fix SPF15 before your primer. Then finish with the M∙A∙C Prep + Prime Fast Response Eye Cream, it minimises any uneven texture or dark circles.
- Opt for a long lasting foundation and concealer such as M∙A∙C Pro Longwear, then dust a translucent powder down the centre of the face - I love M∙A∙C Blot Powder.
- Think quality not quantity, most successful makeup looks focus on one feature such as eyes or lips. Skin, bronzer and brows should also complement, don't try to recreate a 1940's look with a tan.
- Red lips are always a favourite but for a bold update, try burgundy and brick tones on the red carpet such as M∙A∙C Dubonnet Lipstick with M∙A∙C Mahogany Lipliner or some fuchsia pinks like M∙A∙C Girl About Town Lipstick.
- Have a small clutch bag to carry your important products such as your lip liner, lipstick, powder and concealer in case you need to reapply throughout the evening.
