LMX Touristik has Opted for Wirecard's Tokenization Solution

Leipzig-based LMX Touristik GmbH is expanding its strategic alliance with the Wirecard AG. In addition to payment processing, LMX Touristik has opted to use the tokenization server, which offers secure, PCI-conform handling of its customers' credit card data.
LMX Touristik compiles package tours on a day-to-day basis, and offers travel components at daily prices. Since the company was formed in 2001 the tour operator has grown constantly to become one of the leading providers on the market for "virtual" travel operators. LMX Touristik sells its products via travel agents and Internet portals.
"We have been using the Wirecard platform for many years, as we want to make sure that bookings are 100% secure for our customers. The tokenization server offers our customers maximum security, which is why we have engaged our service provider activate communication systems to put this in place," commented Mario Krug, LMX Touristik's managing director.
Tokenization is a new method which replaces sensitive data such as credit card numbers with a so-called token. End-to-end integration in the company's software ensures that data stored locally is only available as a token.
