LONDON and EINDHOVEN, Netherlands , Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, LionVolt announces Flight One, an early access program to its high-energy cell technology for drone and UAV companies. Participants will receive LionVolt's latest commercial cells to integrate into their platforms in the months leading up to general availability.
The programme opens on the back of months of development during which LionVolt has been working with a small group of cohort customers to optimise performance characteristics prior to the release of its first commercial product. The cells extend what a drone can do on a single charge: more endurance, more range, more payload. Built in. The first commercial cells are lithium-metal, optimised for drone and UAV applications: 400 Wh/kg at cell level, 50 to 100% more energy than conventional Li-ion and discharge rates tested to 5C. All built on a supply chain controlled entirely within Europe. For drone and UAV manufacturers, that is a next-generation cell they can design in today.
LionVolt has also been upgrading its cell manufacturing facilities and developing a secure supply chain to meet the demand from its first commercial customers.

With Flight One, LionVolt opens a unique opportunity for early access to its next-generation cells. Selected participants get their hands on cells before general release; direct engineering support from the team that built them will be available for support during integration.
LionVolt opens the program at the DroneX trade show in London, 29 and 30 September. Companies applying to the program during these two days will be treated as a priority.
