Lima Corporate announces it has entered into an agreement with Zimmer Biomet Holdings, Inc. for the acquisition of the Zimmer® Unicompartmental High Flex Knee (ZUK) and the Discovery™ Elbow System for the Japanese market. The rights to these products were previously acquired by Lima Corporate for the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland. The agreement is still pending the approval of the Japan Fair Trade Commission.

The Japanese knee market is estimated to be more than $450 million and is expected to continue to grow in the coming years due to the aging population. The unicompartmental knee market represents approximately 4.5% of the total knee market. The total Japanese elbow market is estimated to be more than $2.4 million, part of the fast-growing extremities market where Lima Corporate is already a leader with the SMR Modular Shoulder System which includes the Reverse Total Shoulder launched this year.
