- Lloyd Worked on the Team that Introduced Light Reading Live Events in Europe and Asia
NEW YORK, Feb. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Light Reading (www.lightreading.com), the market-leading online community for the global communications sector, today announced it has bolstered its international business development with the addition of Liz Lloyd as Account Director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Lloyd will report to Jonathan Keller, Senior Vice President of Sales for Light Reading and Heavy Reading.
In this position, Lloyd will be responsible for driving sales across the EMEA territory by securing new key accounts, nurturing existing customer relationships, and continuing to build awareness of Light Reading.
Lloyd has more than 15 years of media and telecommunications experience. As a specialist in inaugural events she helped launch the Light Reading Live Events in Europe and Asia between 2005 and 2008. Lloyd also worked with CommunicationsWeek International and tele.com and carved out a reputation as a successful Project Director of the ITU's Official Media Services during the 1990s. In career breaks from the world of telecommunications Lloyd took detours via the worlds of business development for music festivals, scuba diving instructing in the Caribbean, and leading a group to Everest Base Camp for charity.
