READING, England, July 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --

Key applications are at exhibitions or other networking events where users are looking to make business connections with attendees either immediately, or after the event. LinkedIn user profiles can be viewed by selecting the approximate meeting time and connection invites can be sent directly from the app.
AroundThen uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology to track proximity, so other users can see each other within a highly accurate range from less than a metre, up to 10 metres away.
Furthermore, unlike GPS-based apps, using Bluetooth Low Energy ensures the app is fully functional indoors and won't drain phone or tablet batteries.
Ken Mawbey, Founder and CEO commented: 'We see this app becoming an intrinsic and invaluable part of any networker's toolkit. Whether at an exhibition, event or even socially, having a conversation with a potential business contact, and then being able to immediately find them on LinkedIn based on their proximity, takes network building and lead generation to a new level.'
Mawbey continues 'In addition, for an event organiser to be able to flip back in time and identify AroundThen users who they may have met on their exhibition stand or who attended an event the previous day, becomes a powerful marketing and lead generation tool for any organisation.'
AroundThen is available now as a free download for iPhone and iPad, with the Android release planned for September.
AroundThen is currently seeking investment via Seedrs. For more information, see http://www.seedrs.com/startups/aroundthen.
