KRY Launches in France on Sep 15 With a New European Brand Name - LIVI
STOCKHOLM, Sept. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- KRY (kry.se), the digital healthcare provider that lets you see a healthcare professional within 15 minutes via your smartphone or tablet, will go live in France as of Sep 15 using the brand name LIVI.
KRY is built by patients for patients in light of the highly strained healthcare systems around the globe. Offering a more accessible and convenient digital healthcare service, KRY has in under two years had over half a million patient meetings in Sweden, Norway and Spain and grew by 740% in 2017, making it the largest digital healthcare provider in Europe. KRY currently accounts for over 3% of all primary care doctor visits in Sweden. In March 2018 KRY launched an online psychology service and is now the largest provider of CBT-treatments in Sweden.
KRY raised $66m (€53m) this summer in the largest Series B funding round for a Nordic company in 2018 in order to expand in Europe. The round was led by international venture capital firm Index Ventures with participation from existing investors Accel, Creandum, and Project A and brings KRY to a total of $99m in raised funds, thereby making it the most well funded digital healthcare provider in Europe. On Sep 15 LIVI will be launched in France with the UK coming up next.
In light of unequal access, increasing costs and over-usage of emergency services France is implementing a national system for public reimbursement of digital healthcare consultations via video.

Patients in France will get to know KRY by the brand name LIVI. LIVI will be the brand name used by the digital healthcare provider in all markets outside the Nordics. KRY will still be used in the existing Nordic markets.
