Ketchum Named One of UK's Best Places to Work for Seventh Consecutive Year
LONDON, July 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
Great Place to Work® Institute Recognises Ketchum London
For the seventh year in a row, leading global public relations agency Ketchum has been rated as one of the best places to work in the UK by the Great Place to Work® Institute in its annual "Best Workplaces" list. The list, which was unveiled last week, ranks Ketchum No. 12 amongst the top places to work in the nation.
"To be able to provide top-notch service to our clients, we need to have a razor-sharp focus on attracting and retaining the industry's very best talent. That's why we continue to create an environment that encourages our employees to learn from each other, to think in new ways, and to reach their full potential," said Denise Kaufmann, partner and CEO of Ketchum London. "We're very excited to receive this prestigious designation for a seventh consecutive year, as it reinforces the fact that throughout Ketchum's 90-year history, our culture has always been our greatest asset."
The Best Workplaces list is compiled by the Great Place to Work® Institute, which began in 1981 when a New York editor asked two business journalists - Robert Levering and Milton Moskowitz- to write a book called The 100 Best Companies to Work for in America. For the last 25 years, the Great Place to Work® Institute has partnered with more than 5,500 organisations with some 10 million employees worldwide to conduct the largest annual set of workplace culture studies in the world.
As in the 2012 programme, the Best Workplaces list includes three separate categories for Small, Medium and Large organisations, which allows participants to be evaluated against organisations of a similar size that face similar challenges. The Medium division, in which Ketchum was ranked, is representative of companies that employ between 50 and 499 people in their UK operations.
Tom O'Byrne, chief executive of the Great Place to Work® Institute, said: "I am once again delighted to congratulate all our Best Workplaces on their achievement and thank their leaders for continuing to champion the importance of trust in the workplace. In the current economic climate, it has never been more crucial for organisations to recognise the importance of creating and maintaining great workplace cultures and understanding how this can improve performance."
