John van der Valk Appointed Managing Director of UBM Live Amsterdam

AMSTERDAM, Oct. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- UBM Live has appointed John van der Valk as the new Managing Director of the UBM Live Amsterdam business. As Managing Director, John will be responsible for the strategic growth and development of the Pharma and Food Ingredients portfolios, which include flagship UBM Live events CPhI Worldwide and Food Ingredients Europe.

John has over 15 years' experience in the events and media business, and comes to UBM Live from VNU. He has extensive knowledge of large scale trade and consumer shows, digital marketing services, partner relationships and product development.
