Jibe Mobile Delivers First Joyn-Based Developer Applications

Jibe will showcase joyn apps at the 2012 Mobile World Congress including a multiplayer mobile Air Hockey tournament
Jibe Mobile delivers the first developer application based on joyn, enabling operators and third-party developers to easily and quickly launch multi-user connected mobile apps featuring real-time communication.
What: The GSMA is introducing joyn, a "service mark" for the RCS-e (Rich Communications Suite) specification that will be unveiled at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. Jibe Mobile is at the forefront of joyn technology, offering a developer program and introducing the world's first joyn-compatible apps.
Where: At Mobile World Congress, Jibe is showcasing joyn applications powered by the Jibe Mobile developer platform in Hall 1, Stand A50.
Why: In the Jibe stand, developers demonstrate eight new joyn-compatible applications built with the Jibe SDK, running on the Vodafone network. Apps include:
- JibeON: Consumer messaging application featuring group chat, file transfer, VoIP and video calling.
- Kodo: Multi-player arcade game with instant play and real-time fast action.
- Reversi: Board game with embedded voice and video features plus mobile address book friend discovery and instant play invitations.
- Car Racing: Real-time multi-player auto racing game with mobile address book friend discovery and instant play invitations.
- View Together: Tablet-based audio and video collaboration suite including live document co-editing.
- Mobile Advertising: In-app advertising using context aware placement and ads via the inMobi mobile advertising network.
- Remote Device Customer Care: Enables live over-the-air device troubleshooting and remote device control.
- Multiplayer Mobile Air Hockey: The real-time multiplayer tournament will showcase the Jibe platform.
When: Join Jibe Mobile during MWC and put joyn-compatible multi-user connected apps through their paces - including a faceoff in air hockey. Congress participants can compete in Jibe's air hockey tournament with rounds daily at noon, 2pm and 4 pm.
