Jed-i Project Challenge 2012 Aims at Showcasing Engineering Excellence

The Jed-i Project Challenge is the Largest National Event Aimed at Celebrating and Recognizing the Best Final Year Projects Across the Country
The second edition of the Jed-i Project Challenge is all set to happen on June 15th at the J N Tata Auditorium, Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Campus, Bangalore. From an initial set of 220 teams from 23 states across the country, 69 teams from 48 colleges have been invited for the finals on June 15th. A panel of distinguished jury, drawn from faculty of IISc and industry experts, will evaluate the projects. The best projects across three divisions will be awarded cash prizes ranging from Rs. 20,000 to 75,000. The overall best project team will walk away with a total prize of of Rs 1.5 lakhs. In addition, there will be two named trophies, the Jed-i Tally Innovation Award and the Jed-i Reva-Mahindra Greenest project award.
The award ceremony is on the evening of June 15th. Prof. Matthukumalli Vidyasagar, FRS, former Director of the Centre for AI and Robotics and currently Chaired Professor at the University of Texas, Dallas, is the chief guest. TED Fellow, Aparna Rao and two technology entrepreneurs, Dhanajaya Dendukuri of Achira labs and Sumeet Yamdagni of Instrumentation Scientific Technologies will enlighten the audience with their work and passion. The awards will be presented by the eminent aerospace scientist, Prof. Roddam Narasimha, FRS.
