IT-Ernity Groep Adds Leading Public Cloud Services: Acquires CloudVPS

Fast-growing Dutch Internet and IT Service provider IT-Ernity Groep has acquired leading Dutch cloud provider CloudVPS. This transaction will enable IT-Ernity Groep to offer end-to-end solutions to all customers, covering public, private and hybrid clouds, networking and managed services.

Rotterdam-based CloudVPS has been offering virtual servers since 2007 and earlier this year launched the first public European cloud based on OpenStack technology. The company provides customers with flexible, cost-effective, self- or semi-managed cloud environments. While CloudVPS solutions have proved popular across all sectors, they have achieved particular traction in the financial and public sectors, where comprehensive and demonstrable data privacy is essential.
