International Building & Construction Trade Fair 2016 Wraps up in Shanghai
60,000 people attended this year's exhibition featuring over 400 exhibitors
SHANGHAI, April 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The International Building & Construction Trade Fair 2016 (CBD-IBCTF (Shanghai)) concluded after the four-day exhibition from March 23 to 26 at the National Convention & Exhibition Center (Shanghai), Hongqiao, hosted by CBD Fair (Guangzhou) and the most influential kitchen and bath fair CIKB.

The 2016 CBD-IBCTF (Shanghai) provided comprehensive solutions and plans for the building and construction industry, gathering more than 400 companies in customized furnishing, doors & windows, hardware, smart homes, machinery and wall decoration. The exhibition floor covered an area of 80,000 square meters and received 60,000 visitors from home and abroad.
This year's fair also hosted 40 forums and conferences, featuring the special sessions such as architecture and interior design, industry conference and trade matching meetings. These events attracted many frontrunners in the industry including Davide Macullo, the renowned Swiss architect and founder of Davide Macullo Architects as well as Massimo Roj, founder and CEO of Progetto CMR.
"CBD-IBCTF (Shanghai) connects the design community with more suppliers of materials. Those events created a platform for designers to learn new building and decoration products while at the same time allowed manufacturers to approach more designers and develop new distribution channels," said Liu Yuan, deputy secretary general of China Building Decoration Association.
"CBD-IBCTF (Shanghai) is aiming not only to encourage the trade in international construction and home decoration markets, but also to build a platform where everyone can communicate with each other and learn new things about the industry," said Liu Xiaomin, president of CBD-IBCTF.
The fair revealed that 2016 CBD Fair (Guangzhou) will be held at Canton Fair Complex, Guangzhou this July from 8-11. And next year's CBD-IBCTF (Shanghai) will return to National Convention & Exhibition Center (Shanghai), Hongqiao from March 22 to 25, 2017.
