Intermedia originally partnered with McAfee because of McAfee's reputation and the perception that Intel was continuing investments into the email security solution. However, when Intel Security abruptly shut down the McAfee SaaS security business to focus on enterprise, Intermedia was left with a difficult decision: enhance its existing email security platform, or find an alternative.
