Infortrend Launches SSD Cache for EonStor DS 1000/ DS 3000 Series

TAIPEI, Nov. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Infortrend® (Public TPE: 2495) today announced a new SSD Cache for EonStor DS 1000 and EonStor DS 3000 systems. The feature allows SSD cache capacities of up to 3.2TB, improving performance by up to 16 times while response time is lowered by as much as 88%. The Infortrend SSD Cache is easy to install and manage, offering a convenient tool for SMBs to gain better performing storage.
Cache is fundamental to storage, especially read-intensive applications. SSD Cache allows fast SSD to be used to extend the cache pool capacity of storage systems so that vital (or high "hotness") applications run faster. Infortrend's EonStor DS 1000/DS 3000 systems tested with SSD Cache technology show up to a 16-fold increase in cache IOPS figures, while saving as much as 88% on response time.
Infortrend's SSD Cache moves copies of the most frequently-accessed data from HDDs to SSDs automatically. This intelligent deployment makes SSD Cache implementation seamless. Thanks to the simple and intuitive GUI, virtually no effort is required for maintenance or additional management.
