This year, India Today Group announced the launch of the "virtual elections" to gauge the mood of the electorates on pan-India basis. The one-of-its-kind live poll allowed the users to cast their vote for their favourite party from anywhere, anytime with their mobile phone, internet enabled devices and landline phone.
Virtual election was a platform facilitated to the people who voted for any of the national political party such as BJP, Congress or regional outfits like the AAP, etc. It was the chance where people from across India participated in a one-of-a-kind pan-India live poll. The virtual elections depicted the mood of the nation for upcoming general elections.
The India Today Group's e-lection got an overwhelming response. The total digital votes received were 5,56,460. The results are available on http://election.intoday.in/.
